Ardon Jashari’s Dream Transfer to AC Milan

Ardon Jashari joins AC Milan in a €34 million deal, expressing his commitment to help the club return to its former glory. The Swiss midfielder cites Pirlo and Baggio as inspirations.

Ardon Jashari has spoken with excitement and determination after completing his €34 million transfer from Club Brugge to AC Milan, declaring his intention to help bring the iconic club back to its rightful place at the top. In his first interview as a Rossonero, the 23-year-old Swiss midfielder expressed pride in joining Milan and detailed the inspiration he draws from football legends like Roberto Baggio and Andrea Pirlo.

Jashari’s Dream Come True
After months of negotiations, Milan secured Jashari’s services for an initial €34 million, with an additional €3 million in performance-based bonuses that could be triggered based on the team’s success in Serie A and the Champions League. Despite the hefty price tag, Jashari’s unrelenting desire to join Milan was key to the move, and he’s thrilled to embark on this new chapter in his career.

“I’m truly proud to be part of this historic team,” said Jashari in his first interview. “It’s an incredible feeling to be here after the last few weeks. I want to take the club where it deserves to be, win matches, and titles. I’m ready to give it my all. Playing for AC Milan was a dream I’ve had since I was a child, and now it’s come true.”

Drawing Inspiration from Legends
Jashari named two legendary figures as his major footballing inspirations: Andrea Pirlo and Roberto Baggio. Both were renowned for their technical brilliance and creativity, qualities that Jashari strives to bring into his own game.

“Definitely Roberto Baggio and Andrea Pirlo,” Jashari said when asked about his footballing influences. “I liked the way they played; technically they were really strong. Their final passes, how creative they were… These are things I try to bring into my own game. Physically, I can make a significant impact, help in both phases of play, and provide the decisive assist in critical areas. I think these are my strengths with which I can help the team.”

The No. 30 Shirt and Learning from Luka Modric
Jashari will wear the No. 30 shirt at Milan, a number he’s familiar with from his time at Luzern in Switzerland. He explained his affection for the number, linking it to his admiration for Lionel Messi, who wore it at Barcelona.

“I started out wearing this number in Switzerland, at the club where I turned professional. I love Messi, so I also took it because he had it. It brought me luck in the past, so I wanted to keep it. I hope to make it a historic number,” he shared.

On joining Milan’s midfield alongside Luka Modric, Jashari expressed his eagerness to learn from one of the game’s most accomplished players. “Starting my adventure here with an incredible player who has won so much can only help me. I want to learn a lot from him, listen to him, watch how he is on and off the pitch,” Jashari added.

What’s Next for Jashari?
Now that his move to Milan is complete, Jashari will focus on integrating into the squad and adapting to the tactical setup under manager Massimiliano Allegri. Milan will kick off their competitive season with a Coppa Italia clash against Bari before their Serie A campaign begins on August 24.

As one of the most highly-anticipated signings of the summer, Jashari’s performances will be closely watched as he strives to help Milan reclaim its status as a European powerhouse.
