Aston Villa are making it clear: Morgan Rogers is not for sale. Despite growing transfer interest—especially from Premier League rivals Chelsea—the club remains committed to keeping their dynamic winger, who has rediscovered top form just as the January window looms. With standout performances and a long-term contract in place, Villa are bracing for renewed pressure but remain defiant in their stance.

Rogers Back to His Best with Timely Tottenham Strike
Morgan Rogers reminded everyone of his talent with a crucial goal in Villa’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur, building on two assists before the international break. The 23-year-old’s resurgence comes at a key time, reestablishing his value in Unai Emery’s squad after a slow start to the season.

Last season, Rogers was a consistent performer at Villa Park, but early struggles this term saw his influence fade slightly. Now, with form and confidence returning, the England hopeful is once again grabbing headlines—and attention from elite clubs.

Chelsea Interest Grows, but Villa Stay Resolute
Reports suggest Chelsea have had Rogers on their radar for some time, and their interest appears to be intensifying as the January window approaches. Tottenham had previously explored a deal but backed off in the face of Villa’s firm valuation and unwillingness to negotiate.

Aston Villa reportedly set Rogers’ price tag at around £100 million during the summer—a figure more intended to deter rather than invite bids. That tactic worked once, and the club maintains the same no-sale stance today, even as Chelsea remain keen.

Long-Term Contract Gives Villa the Upper Hand
With Rogers under contract until June 2030, Aston Villa are in a commanding position when it comes to negotiating—or refusing—any transfer offers. Unless the player himself pushes for a move, which sources suggest is unlikely in January, a mid-season transfer appears improbable.

However, should his form continue to climb and interest persist, Villa may face a tougher battle come the summer. Any decision to sell would likely result in a massive financial return, but for now, the club is focused on keeping their star attacker.

World Cup Ambitions Could Play a Role
Rogers is being tipped as a potential candidate for England’s 2026 World Cup squad, and regular playing time at Villa will be crucial to those ambitions. This adds another layer of incentive for the player to stay put, at least for the remainder of the season.

His latest goal not only secured three points against Spurs but also reinforced his reputation as a match-winner—making it all the more understandable why Villa are reluctant to part ways.

As January approaches, speculation around Morgan Rogers is heating up. But Aston Villa are holding their ground. With a long-term deal, top form returning, and international aspirations on the horizon, the club is determined to keep one of their most prized assets—at least for now.
