Cucurella, 25, has had a tumultuous start to life at Stamford Bridge since his £62 million move from Brighton in 2022. Despite initially struggling for game time due to competition with Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell, the Spanish left-back managed to establish himself as a mainstay in the starting XI during the 2023-2024 campaign, appearing 54 times across all competitions.
