Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly urging Al-Nassr to join the €100m transfer race for Luis Diaz. The Liverpool winger is being targeted by clubs like Barcelona and Bayern, but only Al-Nassr are willing to meet Liverpool’s valuation.
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly pushing Al-Nassr to go all-in on a blockbuster move for Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, as the Saudi Pro League side considers joining the €100 million (£87m/$116m) transfer battle for the Colombian international.
Fresh off signing a record-breaking contract extension with Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be using his growing influence at the club to urge them to make a marquee statement. According to reports from SPORT, Ronaldo is “begging” the club to sign Luis Diaz, who may be available this summer despite a title-winning campaign with Liverpool.
Al-Nassr are currently the only club willing to match Liverpool’s valuation of €100m, placing them ahead of heavyweights like Barcelona and Bayern Munich, both of whom are admirers of the dynamic winger but reluctant or unable to meet the Reds’ asking price.

Diaz, 28, played a key role in Liverpool’s 2024–25 Premier League title triumph, but uncertainty lingers over his long-term future at Anfield. With Barcelona searching for attacking reinforcements alongside Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski, and Bayern Munich also circling to offer more firepower alongside Harry Kane, Diaz has become one of the most sought-after wide forwards this summer.
However, financial limitations in Europe could work in Al-Nassr’s favour. The Saudi club is now seen as Liverpool’s most realistic negotiating partner, especially with the allure of a massive transfer fee and the wages on offer.
Ronaldo’s pull at Al-Nassr continues to grow after he committed to a fresh two-year extension with the club, which reportedly gives him more say in recruitment. Diaz is now top of his wish list, and club executives are reportedly taking his input seriously as they aim to build a squad capable of toppling Al-Hilal.

So far, Diaz has not asked to leave Liverpool, and there’s no clear indication that the club are actively looking to sell. But the financial power of the Saudi Pro League, combined with Ronaldo’s personal plea, could open the door. Diaz’s place in the Colombian national team is unlikely to be affected by a move to the Middle East, as several of his international teammates already feature in Saudi Arabia.
