Endrick Commits to Real Madrid Despite Injury Blow That Could Sideline Him for Two Months

Endrick

Endrick has reaffirmed his commitment to Real Madrid, putting an end to speculations about a potential summer exit. The 17-year-old Brazilian forward, who has endured limited game time in his debut season, recently suffered a fresh hamstring injury—his second setback this year. This latest development may sideline him for up to two months, complicating any immediate transfer or loan move.

Endrick’s Latest Setback Halts Transfer Talks

The young forward was reportedly close to reintegrating into the Real Madrid squad after recovering from an earlier hamstring issue sustained in a La Liga clash against Sevilla. However, according to Sport, Endrick suffered a relapse that could keep him out of action until late September. While he had been exploring a potential loan move to gain more playing time, this injury effectively ends any short-term transfer possibilities.

Rising Competition Within the Squad

Endrick’s situation is further complicated by the emergence of Gonzalo Garcia, who has made a strong impression at the FIFA Club World Cup. Garcia scored four goals during the tournament and started in every game, making a compelling case for a regular spot in Xabi Alonso’s attacking setup. With Real Madrid looking to trim their forward line this summer, the club may now consider offloading Garcia instead of Endrick, as the latter will be recovering through much of the transfer window.

Eyeing Regular Minutes Ahead of 2026 World Cup

Endrick is focused on the long-term picture. His goal is to secure consistent playing time in the 2025–26 season to boost his chances of earning a spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. While teams like Marseille and PSV Eindhoven had shown interest in taking him on loan, the timing of his injury has paused those conversations—for now.

What’s Next for Real Madrid?

Following their disappointing exit from the Club World Cup semi-final at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid are on a brief break. The squad is set to return to La Liga action on August 19, facing Osasuna. With Endrick now expected to miss the early part of the campaign, all eyes will be on how the team reshapes its attacking strategy—and whether the Brazilian can regain momentum when he returns.
