Kylian Mbappe celebrates his first anniversary at Real Madrid with a special message, reflecting on his record-breaking debut season and his gratitude towards the club. Despite a trophyless year, Mbappe’s goal-scoring form has established him as a key figure for Los Blancos moving forward.
Kylian Mbappe has expressed his gratitude to Real Madrid as he celebrates one year since completing his remarkable free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The French star has made an immediate impact on the pitch, though the team’s trophy hunt remains ongoing.

Mbappe’s first season in Madrid was nothing short of sensational. The 25-year-old forward finished the campaign with 44 goals and five assists in 59 appearances, establishing himself as one of the top players in La Liga and Europe. His performances not only bolstered Real Madrid’s attack but also propelled him into the club’s rich history, despite the trophyless season.
Among his impressive tally, 31 goals came in La Liga, breaking a Real Madrid record for the most goals by a debutant in the club’s history. In doing so, he surpassed the legendary Alfredo Di Stefano, whose record of 27 league goals had stood for more than seven decades. Mbappe’s remarkable debut has certainly secured his place in the club’s lore.

To commemorate his first year with the Los Blancos, Mbappe took to social media, sharing a heartfelt message to his followers and the Real Madrid fanbase. He posted:
“A year ago. Grateful for all the love you’ve given me since day one. Hala Madrid.”
Looking ahead, Mbappe is expected to play an even more central role under new manager Xabi Alonso as Real Madrid looks to reclaim their dominance both in Spain and Europe. Their journey begins with the 2025–26 La Liga season, where they open their campaign against Osasuna on August 19.
