Leeds’ Striker Search

With Leeds United fighting to avoid relegation and aiming to stay competitive in the Premier League, Daniel Farke is seeking to add quality to their forward line. Rodrigo Muniz is their primary target, though they are also considering Taremi and Norwich City’s Josh Sargent. However, Leeds will have to battle Atalanta for Muniz’s signature.

Taremi’s Struggles at Inter

Taremi, who joined Inter Milan from FC Porto in 2024, has found life difficult at his new club, managing only three goals in 43 appearances. This is a far cry from his prolific form at Porto, where he scored 91 goals in 182 games. Leeds hope that the 33-year-old can recapture his best form in the Premier League.

Muniz’s Impact at Fulham

On the other hand, Muniz has impressed during his time at Fulham, netting 26 goals in 97 appearances. With Leeds desperate for a reliable striker, Muniz could be the perfect fit to provide the firepower the team needs to ensure their Premier League survival.

The Bigger Picture

Leeds United’s position in the Premier League is at risk, and after two consecutive seasons of newly promoted teams going straight back down, Farke has urged the club to bolster their attacking options. Even if Leeds secure a deal for Taremi or Muniz, the club faces an uphill battle to stay up, with offensive struggles still a significant concern.

What’s Next for Leeds?

With the summer transfer window closing in less than three weeks, Leeds are under pressure to finalize deals. While they’ve strengthened in midfield and defense, their forward line remains a key area that needs reinforcements. The coming weeks could determine whether Leeds can secure the attacking talent they need to stave off relegation.
