Rasmus Hojlund to AC Milan Potentially Back On as Victor Boniface’s Transfer Falls Through

Rasmus Hojlund’s move to AC Milan could be reignited after Victor Boniface’s transfer from Bayer Leverkusen fell through due to a failed medical.

AC Milan may reignite their pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund following the collapse of Victor Boniface’s proposed move from Bayer Leverkusen. The Nigeria international failed his medical at San Siro, ending the deal, and now Milan could turn their attention back to Manchester United striker Hojlund.

Boniface Transfer to AC Milan Falls Through

After agreeing on a €5 million (£4.3m/$5.8m) loan fee with Bayer Leverkusen, AC Milan had hoped to secure Boniface’s services with an additional €24m buy clause. However, due to the failed medical, the transfer is now off the table, and Boniface will remain with Leverkusen.

Hojlund’s AC Milan Move Back in Play

With Boniface’s deal falling through, Rasmus Hojlund now emerges as the main target for Milan. Hojlund, who has struggled for game time at Manchester United, had already been linked with a move to Italy this summer. His place in United manager Ruben Amorim’s “bomb squad” makes it increasingly likely that he could leave Old Trafford before the transfer window shuts.

Napoli Also Interested in Hojlund

However, AC Milan isn’t the only club interested in Hojlund. Napoli is reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing the Danish striker to Serie A on loan after Romelu Lukaku suffered a thigh injury earlier in the season. The competition for Hojlund’s signature is heating up, and Milan’s next move will likely determine if they can clinch a deal.

What’s Next for Hojlund?

Hojlund’s future at Manchester United looks uncertain after being left out of the matchday squad for the second consecutive week against Fulham. With the summer arrival of Benjamin Sesko, Hojlund’s opportunities at Old Trafford appear limited, making a move away more likely as the deadline approaches.
