The 2025 summer transfer window has delivered big-money signings, surprise exits, and strategic squad reshuffles across the Premier League. From Chelsea’s spending spree to Liverpool’s smart rebuild, here’s every confirmed deal and release so far.
The Premier League summer transfer window officially opened on June 1, paused briefly from June 10 to 16, and reopens until the September 1 deadline. In that short span, clubs have wasted no time reshaping their squads for the 2025/26 season.
Arsenal were quick out of the blocks, sealing a move for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi in a £56m deal and adding Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea for £5m. Notably, Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu were released, while Jorginho joined Flamengo on a free.
Over at Aston Villa, young talent Yasin Ozcan joined from Kasimpasa and Feyenoord’s Zépiqueno Redmond arrived on a free. Burnley, meanwhile, raised eyebrows by landing eight new players, including Marcus Edwards from Sporting and Kyle Walker from Man City.
Brighton struck a notable £55m deal with Chelsea for Joao Pedro, while bringing in highly rated youngster Tom Watson from Sunderland and Charalampos Kostoulas from Olympiacos.
Liverpool made a statement with the £100m signing of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, part of a broader rebuild that also included Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez. However, they bid farewell to Trent Alexander-Arnold, now at Real Madrid.
Manchester City lost Kevin De Bruyne to Napoli on a free transfer, but responded with Tijani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Rayan Cherki. Manchester United, meanwhile, signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5m in one of the window’s biggest moves.
Chelsea again featured heavily, with big-money deals for Estevao, Joao Pedro, and Jamie Gittens, while offloading Kepa to Arsenal and Bashir Humphreys to Burnley.
Newcastle United remained relatively quiet but secured 18-year-old Spanish winger Antonio Cordero on a free. Nottingham Forest signed Brazilian forward Igor Jesus from Botafogo and sold Andrew Omobamidele to Strasbourg.
Sunderland surprised many with a trio of signings headlined by Enzo Le Fee from Roma and Habib Diarra from Strasbourg. Spurs added Lens defender Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, while offloading Pierre-Emile Højbjerg to Marseille.
At West Ham, Jean-Clair Todibo was brought in to bolster the backline after a wave of veteran departures. Wolves retooled their forward line with Fer Lopez and Jorgen Strand Larsen from Celta Vigo after cashing in on Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
Expect more movement as clubs aim to fine-tune their squads before the September deadline.
