Arsenal are showing no signs of slowing down in the transfer market, with the club reportedly close to securing a high-profile move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze. As the Gunners continue their ambitious summer overhaul, sources indicate that a deal is progressing rapidly, marking what could be their fifth major signing in this window.

After already bringing in Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, and Kepa Arrizabalaga, and with Chelsea’s Noni Madueke on the verge of joining for around £52 million, Arsenal’s recruitment focus is now firmly on enhancing their attacking firepower.

Eze Deal Advances Amid Talks Over Release Clause

According to a fresh report from Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Arsenal are edging closer to an agreement with Crystal Palace for Eberechi Eze. The North London side is reportedly prepared to meet the playmaker’s £68 million release clause, though the final hurdle lies in structuring the payment terms to navigate Financial Fair Play (FFP) and Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

“It’s more about how the fee is paid,” O’Rourke said, highlighting that Arsenal are negotiating a potential installment plan rather than paying the full amount upfront. While Palace are adamant about receiving the full value, a staggered payment could be the compromise needed to push the deal over the line.

Should the deal be finalized, it would signal Arsenal’s determination to compete at the highest level this season, especially with Eze coming off a standout campaign at Selhurst Park.

Viktor Gyokeres and Madueke Also on the Radar

Journalist Henry Winter also provided an encouraging update, suggesting that Arsenal are poised for a significant week in the market. In a social media post, Winter claimed that both Noni Madueke and young defender Yerson Mosquera are set to arrive, while a fee for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres is “virtually agreed.”

The Gyokeres move is reportedly in its final stages, with discussions ongoing about agent fees and add-on clauses. The Swedish forward is believed to be keen on the switch to the Emirates, adding further momentum to the deal.

Outgoing Transfers Set to Balance the Books

Arsenal are also expected to facilitate several departures in the coming weeks to generate funds and stay within FFP constraints. Players such as Jakub Kiwior, Reiss Nelson, Leandro Trossard, Fabio Vieira, and Oleksandr Zinchenko are reportedly available for transfer, as the club seeks to reshape both ends of the squad.

This mix of incoming and outgoing activity reflects a clear strategy from Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar: invest in top-tier talent while maintaining financial sustainability.

A Statement Window for Arsenal?

If Arsenal secure both Eze and Gyokeres in the coming days, it would cap off a bold transfer window aimed at closing the gap with Manchester City and competing for major silverware. The addition of dynamic attacking talents like Eze and Madueke would provide much-needed creativity and depth, while Gyokeres could offer the physical presence up front that Arsenal lacked at times last season.

With negotiations nearing the finish line and momentum building, Gunners fans have every reason to be optimistic about what lies ahead.
