As the January transfer window looms, Arsenal are already making early moves behind the scenes. While the Gunners gear up for a serious push in the Premier League and Champions League, fresh reports suggest the club is ready to part ways with Gabriel Jesus — while fending off interest from Bayern Munich for rising star Jurrien Timber.

Arsenal’s Transfer Strategy: Balancing Ambition with Financial Prudence
Arsenal had an aggressive summer transfer campaign, spending around £250 million to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s squad. The North London side brought in big names like Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze, Piero Hincapie, Martin Zubimendi, and Cristhian Mosquera — bolstering depth and quality across all areas of the pitch.

Despite their spending spree, the Gunners also made calculated decisions to trim the squad, offloading fringe players to balance the books. Now, attention turns to the winter transfer window, where further adjustments are expected.

Gabriel Jesus Exit on the Cards Amid Everton Interest
According to TEAMtalk’s Dean Jones, Arsenal are reportedly open to selling Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus in January, with a valuation of around £30 million. The club is believed to be exploring opportunities to bring in a more clinical forward, especially if the current attacking output fails to meet expectations.

Everton has been mentioned as a potential destination, with manager Sean Dyche in search of proven Premier League talent to boost his side’s offensive threat. Jesus, who has struggled with consistency and fitness at times, could be viewed as a high-impact signing for the Toffees.

“There is going to be an openness to sign another forward if they still lack cutting edge,” Jones explained, adding that Arsenal’s winter transfer strategy will depend heavily on market dynamics and wage demands.

Bayern Munich Make Surprise Approach for Jurrien Timber
While Arsenal are willing to let Jesus go, they’re taking a firm stance on Jurrien Timber. The Dutch defender has reportedly drawn attention from Bayern Munich, who are believed to have made a surprise approach to his representatives. However, Arsenal have made it clear Timber is not for sale.

A source quoted by Caught Offside confirmed the Bundesliga giants’ interest, noting, “Bayern and one other big name from Europe reached out to his people a while ago. No chance he’s going.”

The 22-year-old, who arrived from Ajax, has quickly impressed with his versatility and composure, and talks over a new contract are said to be progressing well — even if no firm timeline has been set.

Looking Ahead: Arsenal’s January Game Plan
With their sights set on silverware, Arsenal’s focus this winter will be on making targeted adjustments rather than sweeping changes. The potential sale of Gabriel Jesus could free up space and funds for a new forward, while the club remains determined to keep key players like Timber despite European interest.

Expect Arsenal to stay active in the market — but only if the right opportunity presents itself.
