Manchester City has signed the most lucrative kit deal in Premier League history, securing £1 billion from Puma. This deal will support Pep Guardiola’s efforts to retain the Premier League title and build on their recent success.
Manchester City have extended their lucrative kit deal with Puma, securing a £1 billion partnership until 2035. This deal, which will see the club earn a record £100 million per year, is the largest kit agreement in Premier League history and gives Pep Guardiola and his team a significant financial boost as they aim to reclaim the Premier League title.
Manchester City have confirmed the extension of their kit partnership with Puma, setting a new benchmark in the football world. The £1 billion deal is the most lucrative kit contract ever signed by a Premier League club, surpassing the previous record set by Manchester United with adidas.
This partnership, which began in 2019, will see City earn £100 million annually, an increase from their previous annual sum of £65 million. The deal also outshines Liverpool’s agreement with adidas, worth around £60 million per year.
City’s success with Puma has been remarkable, particularly with the club securing a Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup treble in recent seasons. This has positioned them as one of the most commercially successful clubs in Europe.
The partnership has proven fruitful both on and off the pitch, as Puma’s performance products have been showcased during some of the club’s historic moments. Now, with the new deal, the Cityzens will benefit from even more financial resources to bolster their squad and retain their title.
Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group, expressed pride in the extended partnership:
“We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond the expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons. Puma have seamlessly integrated into our organisation, and we have enjoyed many historic moments together, engaging fans globally.”
Arthur Hoeld, CEO of Puma, added:
“Puma’s partnership with Manchester City has been a great success both on and off the pitch. Trophies, a perfect stage for our performance products, and commercial success were exceptional.”
With the new deal in place, Manchester City are set for even greater financial backing in the coming years. The club has already unveiled their home kit for the 2025-26 season, while the away and third kits are yet to be revealed. Pre-season preparations are underway, with the club having one confirmed friendly against Palermo.
City’s ability to secure such a record-breaking deal ensures that they remain a financial powerhouse, and it will be interesting to see how they use these funds to maintain their dominance in English football.
